What Kundalini Entails
Kundalini works with energy rather than athletics: rhythmic movement, powerful breath patterns, mantra and meditation, sequenced into kriyas — complete actions with a specific effect, from "stress reset" to "deep sleep."
Priya's Tuesday and Thursday evenings are our most-booked hours. Expect to chant (badly is fine), to sweat lightly, and to lie down for a gong rest that regulars describe as "ten years of naps at once."

What a Class Holds
- Opening chant and breath warm-up to tune in together
- A 30-minute kriya: rhythmic movement with breath and mantra
- Eleven-minute meditation, from candle-gazing to silent sits
- Long gong rest under blankets while the bowls ring
- Spiced tea and ten unhurried minutes in the garden
Levels & Rhythm
No experience needed — kriyas scale by effort, and resting is always allowed. Many students arrive straight from work in soft clothes; changing rooms and showers make the transition painless. Once a month the Thursday class extends into a full sound bath with seven bowls and gong.
When we practise
- Evening Kriya: Tuesday & Thursday at 19:00
- Monthly sound bath: last Thursday of the month, 19:00–20:45
- New-year 108-minute intensive: announced on the events page
Do I have to chant? I'm shy.
Chanting is encouraged but never policed. Most shy singers are humming along by week three — the group carries you.
Is Kundalini safe?
Yes when taught responsibly. Priya is KRI-certified, kriyas are timed, and strong breathwork always ends with grounding rest.
What if I'm pregnant or have high blood pressure?
Tell us at booking — breath retentions and intense navel work are modified for you, and some evenings suit you better than others.
